I just went over the instructions for reinstalling simply I seem to have a problem I retrieve. My calculator came with windows xp already installed on information technology. I don't accept an installation disk or annihilation. I take everything that came with the computer and I thought there were disks merely at that place are not. I have the pc troubleshooting and maintenance guide and it keeps talking virtually a full system recovery which I call back volition do what I want just I'k not sure.

What is the Make and Model of your organization?
If y'all got no install disks with it then it should have what is called a Recovery Partition on information technology. This is what you will have to utilize to format and install XP fresh. It will have the system back to the fashion it was when you bought it.
All data will be erased and you will have to get all the updates for everything again.

Kick the system and as shortly every bit it starts then showtime tapping the F1 key.
Information technology should say Entering Setup
When it gets into the setup then what yous want to do is the Full Organization Recovery
This will format the system and have information technology dorsum to factory settings just similar when information technology was new.

By format information technology will delete everything.
Comcast should piece of work without their disk. You merely have to make sure when XP installation asks if y'all want to setup the network you have to tell it Aye.
The rest of your programs will have to be reinstalled. Office I would think should be able to exist reinstalled simply since it'south a trial that may be a issue.
The only other way you tin can do this without losing everything is to do what is called a Destructive install
This should proceed your data intact and only reset windows dorsum to original form. Yous would so have to go all the updates for windows again by going to Windows update.
